The Effect of Altruistic Behaviors of Sports Sciences Faculty Students on the Decision of Forgiveness: A Structural Equality Model Investigation

The purpose of the present study was to examine effects altruism behaviors on forgiveness decision athletes and sedentary students who continued education in faculty sports sciences with Structural Equation Model. To this end, Study Group consisted a total 200 students, 108 female 92 male, were selected Convenient Sampling Method, at Gazi University Faculty Sport Sciences. When distribution examined according gender, 58.5% group 41.5% male. rate women athlete 47.6%, men 52.4%. age groups, people 17-20 31.4%, 21-24 55.9%, older than 25 12.7%. individuals aged is 48.8% group, 34.1%, years 17.1%. “Forgiveness Decision Scale” “Altruism used as measurement tools addition personal information form that created by researcher obtain data study. Model t-test for independent One-Way Analysis Variance (ANOVA), percentage, frequency, descriptive statistical analyzes analysis data. findings examined, scale sub-dimensions groups did not differ significant levels gender variable (p>0.05), differed both gender. level (3.45±0.57) higher (3.19±0.55) group. Similarly, (3.57±0.64) (3.41±0.61). changes (p<0.05), it create difference (p<0.05). established tested separately determine effect athletes. goodness fit coefficients calculated models showed good fit. According Correlation made relations between forgiveness, negative 31.4% financial aid, positive 69.9% help traumatic situations, 55.1% educational process No detected (p>0.05).
